Collective Worship

There are a number of opportunities for staff and pupils to take part in collective worship within the school. We celebrate worship through; Mass, staff morning reflection, form time resources, class services, form assemblies, pupil retreat and mission days.
The aim of collective worship is to provide an opportunity for pupils and staff to worship God, to consider spiritual and moral issues and to explore their own faith.
We encourage participation and response whether it is through active involvement or through listening and respectfully attending the worship that has been offered.

Teachers Mass

For the past two years we have been blessed to be able to host the Teachers Mass at the start of the new school year, inviting staff from our feeder primary schools to join our own school community.

Form Assemblies

Form classes across KS3 create and lead their own collective worship with the help of their form tutor and school chaplain. They have the option to follow the liturgical calendar by encompassing feasts and seasonal events or they can pick a theme of their own.

Year 7 Welcome Mass

Each September we welcome the new Y7 pupils to our school community with a Welcome Mass. We are grateful to our Head Boy, Head Girl and Senior Prefects who read and assist during the Mass.
